Prof. Uche Ikonne Died a Legend;- Hon. Nkem-Abonta Mourns

The Member Representing Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency has joined the good people of Abia state and the Ikonne family to mourn the death of Prof. Uche Ikonne who was until his death the standard bearer of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP).

Hon. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta described the sad news as a big shocker that left so many dumbfounded when the news filtered into the air in the early hours of yesterday 25th January 2023.

    In a statement cited by The World Satellite Magazine, the Federal Lawmaker extended his sincere condolences to the immediate family of the deceased academic don and prays God almighty to grant the family, especially his widow sufficient fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

    While assuring that the good people of Ukwa Federal Constituency are also sharing in their grief, he further advised the suspension of all public functions and campaigns till after Sunday 29th January 2023 to allow his constituents mourn the death of the fallen legend.

      Continuing, Hon. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta used the medium to remind his constituents that death is an inevitable phase that every mortal must pass through, even though only God Almighty knows when the roll will be called up yonder for everyone to answer.

      He concluded by praying to God Almighty to grant the soul of departed Prof. Eleazar Uche Ikonne, whom he described as a brother and a friend eternal rest.
