Dr. Maryam Shetty, a nominee for a ministerial position, has responded to President Bola Tinubu’s decision to withdraw her nomination, expressing her gratitude for the President’s unrelenting support and conveying thanks for his decision. Dr. Shetty also acknowledged Vice President Kashim Shettima for his support.
On Friday, she took to her social media platform to share the news, stating that she was informed during the plenary session about the withdrawal of her nomination. In place of Dr. Shetty, President Tinubu chose Dr. Mariga Mahmoud, another nominee from Kano State, for the ministerial position.

However, no specific reason was given by President Tinubu for replacing Dr. Shetty. Before the nomination withdrawal, she publicly expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for their unwavering support on various occasions.
