As hard as I tried to understand this beautiful Nigerian lady, Hannatu Musawa, I find her profile more confusing than anything else.
At 33, this young minister is reported to have about three degrees in Law, and a PhD in the offing, all from the United Kingdom (UK). She is an indigene of Katsina State and a daughter of a famous northern politician.
On the basis of her impressive CV as well as sterling career achievements, President Tinubu found her worthy as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is where the story begins to bend.
First, it’s surprising that more than 2 years after the former Senate rejected her candidacy as a National Commissioner of INEC on the basis that she had not gone for her compulsory NYSC service, she is still reported as serving. Pray, how long does it take to serve in the NYSC scheme? And what’s so special in her candidacy that every president wants to place her above her peers?
Secondly, if truly she’s 33 years old, how come she was profiled as having actively participated in the 2003 election campaigns? And how come she’s also reported to have assisted her legal principal at the famous Oputa Panel that was held over 22 years ago?
By 2003, she was supposed to be 13, not old enough to have graduated from the university. How then did she pull this off as a young teen? If it turns out true, she definitely must be something from Mars!!
Encouraging bright and patriotic youths to partake in national politics is a great idea. However, this must never be done to the detriment of sincerity and transparency. She needs to come clean on her career profile and tell the world why she chose to observe her NYSC scheme now.

Was it done to pave the way for her current ministerial appointment or out of sincere passion for fatherland? She really needs to speak to these issues before fellow youths can see her as a leading light.
