In commemoration of the International Day of Peace (IDP), Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria) has issued a resounding call to action for sustainable peace, positioning itself as a global advocate for harmony.
The International Day of Peace, an annual event mandated by the UN General Assembly, is dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace by calling for 24 hours of non-violence and a cease-fire.
Against the backdrop of an increasingly turbulent world, this year’s theme, “Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals,” resonated deeply with Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria and its commitment to making a difference.

The reigning Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria; Amb. Chika Ezenwa, in a message of unity and determination, emphasized the urgent need for peace, echoing the sentiments of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. “Peace is needed today more than ever.”
While highlighting the devastating impact of war, conflict, and climate chaos and the pervasive issues of poverty, hunger, inequality, and political polarization even in ostensibly peaceful nations, she stressed that fostering peace is not just a global ambition but also a shared responsibility.
“By addressing the root causes of unrest and promoting dialogue, tolerance, and conflict resolution, the Miss Face of Humanity brand aligns its efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), thus contributing to creating a culture of peace for all,” Amb. Ezenwa informed.

As a call to action, MFOH Nigeria called upon citizens, leaders, and organizations alike to unite in their pursuit of sustainable peace, while committing that the organization shall continue to stand as a beacon of hope, striving to create a safer and more prosperous nation by promoting peace within Nigeria.
