In a significant move towards addressing long-standing issues plaguing the residents and commuters in Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, the House of Representatives unanimously adopted a crucial motion today.

The motion, championed by Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu, a Member representing the constituency in the National Assembly, called for the full-scale reconstruction of the Aba Branch – Afor Oru – Ahiara Junction – Eke Nguru – Oboama Ezinihitte – Okpala Expressway.

    The motion received resounding support from members of the House, leading to their unanimous decision to instruct the Ministry of Works to allocate sufficient funds in the 2024 budgets and estimates for the design and complete reconstruction of the said road. This decision is a ray of hope for the residents and commuters who have long endured the adverse effects of the road’s deplorable condition.
