Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has ordered the suspension of Ms. Halima Shehu, National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA) CEO, just three months after Senate confirmation. The suspension follows allegations of financial misconduct, prompting an immediate investigation.
Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, National N-POWER Program Manager, takes interim charge pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Before her appointment, Halima worked as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme and also served with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development between 2017 and 2022.
