Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu, the Member representing Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, and Deputy House Committee Chairman on FCT, marked Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary with a call for urgent infrastructure improvements in his constituency. In his Independence Day message, he emphasized the necessity of developing key infrastructure to foster economic growth and enhance the community’s quality of life.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s journey to freedom, Hon. Chinedu expressed pride in the nation’s achievements while honoring the vision of its founders. “As we commemorate our hard-won independence, we must renew our commitment to unity, peace, and hard work,” he stated. He urged constituents to take responsibility for shaping a brighter future through initiatives in agriculture, education, and entrepreneurship.
A significant part of Hon. Chinedu’s message focused on the critical need for infrastructure development. He announced a forthcoming stakeholders’ meeting at Chris VI Hotel, where a high-level delegation will be selected to meet with the Imo State Governor. The delegation aims to address the deplorable condition of the Aba Branch-Ngor Okpala Expressway and other critical infrastructure issues affecting the constituency.
“Our unity is our strength, and our diversity is our pride,” Hon. Chinedu remarked, underscoring the importance of collective action in driving progress.
