In a warm and celebratory atmosphere, Amb. Chika Rita Ezenwa, the Founder and Executive Director of Nery Developmental Initiative (NDI) and former Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria, was hosted to a heroic welcome yesterday at the headquarters of Servelead Global, the parent company of Servelead Humanitarian Initiative (SHI), in Abuja
The meeting, led by Servelead Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Ijeoma Aladesaye, and SHI’s Director of Operations, Princess Alugwe, celebrated Amb. Ezenwa’s humanitarian work during her reign and her continued advocacy beyond the crown. The meeting also focused on exploring collaborative opportunities between both organizations.
Amb. Ezenwa highlighted NDI’s work with the United Nations High Commission on Human Rights, reinforcing the organization’s credibility in human rights advocacy.
A major highlight of the discussions was NDI’s upcoming Menstrual Health Roundtable, scheduled to coincide with World Menstrual Hygiene Day in Abuja. The initiative aims to engage students and raise awareness about menstrual health and hygiene.
The meeting also acknowledged NDI’s institutional backing, with ongoing registrations under major government agencies including the Ministry of Health, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Ministry of humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Discussions further addressed a follow-up meeting to introduce Amb. Ezenwa’s team to the Gathr app—a platform for community engagement and project coordination. Ezenwa is expected to join as a Gathr App Ambassador in recognition of her efforts in advancing humanitarian causes.
Servelead also opened discussions on providing NDI access to its NAAS grant writing services, aimed at enhancing funding opportunities for community-focused projects.
A major outcome was the proposal to share NDI’s concept note for an elderly-centred project in the South East region. The initiative, being proposed to be executed in partnership with SHI, will focus on providing essential health, nutrition, and welfare support to elderly populations.
