Describing Valentine’s Day as a memorial, which should not end in a one-day show of love to someone, but an everyday ritual, Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria), managed by Thecoaches has prayed for the greatest love of humanity to abide in the hearts of political leaders and citizens of Nigeria.

The international franchise established in Canada also tasked Nigerians to think of humanity first to make decisions that will promote peace and development and shun all forms of violence, thuggery, and the like as the nation goes to the polls in just a few days.

MFOH Nigeria’s Ambassador; Amb. Rita Chika Ezenwa made this call while reflecting on the February 14 yearly world’s day of love during when a certain Valentine, purported to have died for love, is remembered and celebrated.

“The importance of this call is underscored by the current wave of political tension in Nigeria. At a time like this in Nigeria, there is no greater celebration of love than a peaceful election and transition process.”

Accordingly, Amb. Ezenwa, who has a great passion for the disadvantaged in society also expressed optimism that the MFOH brand will continue to do its best in attending to the needs of the disadvantaged in society.

“Valentine, dating back to history is all about love, so everything about it would revolve around love both to the less privileged and those who feel less loved; everyone needs love not only the less privileged”.

In recognition of this, the light-skinned beauty queen and humanitarian highlighted the challenges that the disabled in Nigeria face and expressed the desire of the brand to continue to seek collaborations with other stakeholders to celebrate and work with the disabled to amplify their voices and stand up for their rights and eliminate all forms of economic exploitation.

According to her, the Brand intends to achieve this through promoting awareness of and participation in social, economic, and political life in addition to strengthening the role of the family in improving the status of the disabled.

“Our plans towards disability inclusion involve the media, Religious Leaders, Proprietors of Schools, Parents and caregivers to sustain efforts at sensitizing the public and creating awareness on the rights of the disability to eschew violence and discrimination of any sort”, she explained.

Consequently, MFOH Nigeria called on all Nigerians and the international community at large to use this year’s valentine’s day celebration as an opportunity to get involved in showing love to humanity, especially the disadvantaged in society.

“Valentine’s day is something we all hold near and dear. It is a day of love, loyalty, and gestures. Despite this, it means something different to everyone. Some find it depressing and others get extremely excited about it and yet others find it as an excuse for companies to sell chocolate and flowers.
