Threads App: Twitter and Meta Face Legal Battle

Twitter is suing Meta, Facebook’s parent company, for the release of its Threads app, which allows users to engage in threaded conversations.

Twitter claims the app infringes on its intellectual property rights and violates terms of use. Lawyer Alex Spiro has written a letter to Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg claiming Meta misappropriated Twitter’s trade secrets and confidential information.

    Spiro also accuses Meta of recruiting former Twitter employees who had access to Twitter’s trade secrets to develop the Threads app, violating state and federal laws and employees’ obligations to Twitter.
