The member representing the good people of Ukwa East/West Federal Constituency; Hon. Uzoma Nkem Abonta has congratulated Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, his Deputy; Prince Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu and the entire Abia state on their declaration as Governor-elect and Deputy Governor-elect of the state.
In a signed statement, Hon Abonta who described Ukwa East/West Constituency as one that has constantly been marginalized described their victory at the poll as a mandate whose time and season has come.
“The Jubilation across the state and in Ukwa particularly further proves that your victory was a collective effort of Abians across party lines who are tired of maintaining the status quo of bad leadership as experienced in the past years. Abians spoke loudly through their votes, and the will of the people prevailed.
“Consequently, the saying “To whom much is given, much is also expected” will come to play as Abians are already expecting so much from you.
“However, I am particularly very optimistic that you possess all it takes to deliver good and all-inclusive governance to the good people of Abia State, and that you have constantly showcased convincingly. You have always been a shining star.
“Bring your undoubted wealth of experience to the table, and let your developmental strides project Abia State to enviable heights as we are also aware that your experience in human capital development is also indisputable. Remember, Abians look up to you for total liberation.
“More so, the people of Ukwa are hopeful that your government will accord them the required attention and commensurate developmental gestures to compensate for the decades of neglect even though they remain the goose that lays the golden eggs.
