In a recent press release by Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), it was reported that the Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty Benjamin Ikenchuku Gbenoba, met with NDLEA Chairman Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) to form a partnership aimed at eradicating drug trafficking in his kingdom.
During the meeting, Marwa emphasized the agency’s commitment to collaborating with traditional rulers and community leaders to eliminate substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking nationwide. He stated that the NDLEA is deploying personnel to local government areas to strengthen grassroots advocacy and enforcement efforts. Marwa welcomed all stakeholders’ support to ensure these initiatives’ success.
The Dein of Agbor expressed his concerns about the prevalence of drug dealers in his kingdom and his desire to provide land for NDLEA operations in Agbor. He praised Marwa’s leadership and the agency’s revitalized efforts under his command. The monarch underscored the importance of eliminating drug dealers to protect the youth and community from the harmful effects of illicit substances.
He warned drug dealers that their activities would no longer be tolerated in Agbor and highlighted the negative impact of drugs on individuals and society. He also cautioned those abusing drugs about the life-threatening consequences of their actions.

The press release concluded with the monarch’s message to drug dealers: “Beware, you are on notice; we do not want you in Agbor; we do not want you in our country.”
