Youth Leaders Urged to Drive Change at Democracy Convening

The Democracy Convening 2024 continued in Abuja today with an insightful session focused on the aspirations, challenges, and roles of Nigerian youth in achieving the “Nigerian Dream.”

Titilope Gbadamosi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Delivery and Monitoring Youth Initiatives,  addressed participants on the Nigerian Dream, outlining both its prospects and challenges. Drawing on historical insights from Nigeria’s founding fathers, Gbadamosi highlighted President Tinubu’s initiatives aimed at uplifting young Nigerians, emphasizing the government’s vision for an inclusive future shaped by youth engagement.

    Honorable Ogewu David A., Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Army and a House Committee on Youths in Parliament member, addressed the audience with a call to action and spoke on the significance of youth contributions in gaining representation in decision-making spaces. He urged young Nigerians to position themselves as key contributors to national solutions, advocating for dialogue as a path to resolving conflicts. In a powerful closing, Hon. David called on the youth to be agents of positive change for Nigeria.
