The Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria) today held the second edition of its annual One-Day Stakeholders Dialogue on the Rights of Indigents at the Bhukari Bello Auditorium, National Human Rights Commission, Abuja. The event, themed “Empowering Indigents: Building Sustainable Solutions,” brought together key stakeholders, including delegates for the 2024 MFOH Nigeria National Showcase, to discuss innovative strategies for addressing the rights and needs of vulnerable communities.
Participants included representatives from the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons, the FCT Department on Higher Education, the House Committee on Human Rights, Imagedotafrica, and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights.
The highlight of the event was a moderated panel session led by Roland Obogben. Panelists Nsikan-Abasi Isaak, Precious Adigwe, and Egunyinka Oluwatosin engaged in deep discussions, exploring actionable pathways to secure indigents’ rights and improve access to necessities.
Opening the event, MFOH Nigeria National Director, Blessing Inyang, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to advocacy and community empowerment, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in addressing systemic challenges.
The dialogue featured a mix of thought-provoking presentations, interactive sessions, and goodwill messages from various organizations. Delegates for the 2024 National Showcase actively participated, demonstrating their advocacy skills and underscoring the intersection of beauty and humanitarianism.
