Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of ongoing infrastructural projects as his administration prepares to mark its five-year anniversary on Wednesday.

During an inspection tour of major projects in the state on Monday, Governor Uzodimma highlighted significant progress across various sites, reiterating his commitment to closing infrastructural gaps and enhancing urban renewal efforts.

According to a Press Release signed by Oguwike Nwachuku, Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, the projects inspected include the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Assumpta/Control Post Roundabout Flyover, Ellen Seilif/DSS/Onitsha Road, Works Layout Roads, Aladimma/Chukwuma Nwoha/Egbu Road, Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu/Okigwe Road Flyover, and the 3-R Government Digital Complex at ICAPS, Egbu Road, Owerri.

“These projects are part of our urban renewal initiative aimed at reducing traffic gridlock and easing the stress of commuters within and outside the state,” the Governor stated.

He acknowledged that the removal of fuel subsidy had increased revenue from the Federal Allocation Accounts Committee (FAAC), enabling his administration to execute more tangible projects.
