President Bola Tinubu on Monday made significant pledges to prioritize education and healthcare, aligning with his vision for a robust and prosperous nation. In his address to citizens during the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Owerri President Tinubu emphasized the importance of industrialization and investments, acknowledging the challenges posed by essential reforms and assuring the public that efforts are underway to address them.

President Tinubu drew attention to the misuse of commonwealth over the past 40 years, often referred to as subsidy, which he deemed wasteful. Despite recognizing the shared burden, he expressed optimism, stating, “Things will get better for the good of all Nigerians. With me, there is hope.” He assured substantial development in education, a focus on industrialization, increased allocation to healthcare, and expanded training for health workers.
Commending Governor Uzodinma for his stewardship, President Tinubu referred to him as the “real hope” of Imo State. He praised the discernment of the people in re-electing a leader aligned with a progressive agenda.
President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to a united and secure country, citing the peace and security achieved in Imo State. He urged the governor to work diligently for the people, emphasizing that hard work is the reward for re-election. The President concluded by assuring the federal government’s support for the rapid development of the state.

Following the oaths of office administered by the Imo State Chief Judge, Governor Uzodinma outlined his commitment to an extraordinary second tenure focused on policy execution. He highlighted achievements in economic growth, civil service reform, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment during his first term.
