Niger State to Build New NYSC Camp, Gives N200k to Corps Members

The Governor of Niger State, Rt Hon Umaru Muhammad Bago, has allocated N5 billion for an Ultra-modern NYSC Orientation Camp. Additionally, he announced a donation of N200,000 each to 1,301 Corps Members, a trailer of rice, and twenty cows to support their feeding during the Orientation program.

During the Swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members at the NYSC Niger State Orientation Camp in Paiko, the Governor also promised to provide five boreholes and improve camp conditions. Medical graduates will receive automatic employment in the state civil service.

    Governor Bago emphasized the state’s commitment to agricultural mechanization, planning to collaborate with NYSC and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development. The state aims to create 100 farm estates across its 25 Local Government Areas, enhancing food production and employment opportunities.

    Hon. Justice Mariya M Ismail administered the Oath of Allegiance to 1,301 Corps Members, including 570 males and 731 females. The Governor also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development to promote agro-value chains.

      Dr. Jamila Bio-Ibrahim, Minister for Youth Development, and Brigadier General YD Ahmed, NYSC Director General, commended the Governor for his support and pledged continued efforts to empower youth.
