The Presidency has dismissed as false and mischievous a viral report claiming that Vice President Kashim Shettima was denied access to the Presidential Villa by military personnel.

In a statement on Saturday, Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), described the allegation as “completely fabricated” and “a wild expression of wishful thinking.”

Nkwocha said the story is one of many fake news narratives recently targeted at the Vice President in an orchestrated effort to mislead Nigerians and fabricate tension within the Presidency.

He emphasized that the bond between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Vice President Kashim Shettima remains unshaken, warning purveyors of fake news that such tactics would not succeed.
