The Creative Women of The 21st Century (CWO2C) has made a fervent appeal to the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged forgery of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) scores.
The foundation, renowned for uniting accomplished women in the industry to inspire and mentor aspiring young girls, has expressed deep concern over the recent claims and counterclaims surrounding the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results of Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Founder; Nsikan Isaac emphasized the importance of integrity and fairness in the educational system, particularly when it comes to examinations that determine the future of thousands of young individuals.
The CWO2C Founder further stressed that allegations of score manipulation cannot be taken lightly and should be promptly addressed to uphold the credibility and transparency of the examination process.
“The embattled candidate, Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme, has been at the center of a controversy regarding her UTME results. Claiming to have obtained a score of 362, she insisted that the result was displayed on the JAMB portal when she checked. However, JAMB has vehemently denied issuing such a result and declared it inauthentic.
“JAMB’s spokesperson disclosed that the format of the result notification slip displayed by Miss Mmesoma in a viral video was last used in 2021, raising doubts about the legitimacy of her claimed score. Moreover, the examination body announced the withdrawal of her “authentic” 2023 UTME result, where she reportedly scored 249, as a consequence of her alleged dishonest conduct.
“Both Miss Mmesoma and her father, Romanus Ejikeme, have remained resolute in their stance, asserting that both the 362 and 249 scores were genuinely obtained from JAMB”, the statement highlighted.
Despite the ongoing dispute, CWOT2C expressed confidence in the investigative process and urged the authorities to delve into the matter without prejudice.
Concluding, CWOT2C highlighted the importance of upholding justice and integrity in educational institutions, emphasizing that if the allegations of forgery are proven true, the perpetrators must face the full force of the law.
