In a compelling address on Thursday during the third day of the ongoing Film Festival at the Embassy of Brazil in Abuja, Miss Face of Humanity Nigeria (MFOH Nigeria), Ambassador Rita Chika Ezenwa, passionately underscored the individual responsibility in safeguarding human rights worldwide.
The event, a part of the 75th-anniversary celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), is organized by the United Nations and the National Human Rights Commission in collaboration with the Embassies of Brazil and Belgium in Nigeria.
Ambassador Ezenwa emphasized the urgent need for individuals, irrespective of government affiliations, to actively contribute to the protection of human rights. She spotlighted the distressing situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, urging stakeholders to speak out against the ongoing challenges faced by its citizens.
