The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has honored Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), as the Man of the Year for 2023. The civil rights advocacy group commended General Marwa’s outstanding leadership in the fight against drug abuse and related crimes.
HURIWA acknowledged the remarkable combat efforts of the NDLEA under General Marwa’s charismatic leadership, expressing renewed hope in the nation’s ability to address the contemporary threat posed by hard drugs and illicit substances.
In a media statement endorsed by HURIWA’s National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, the association highlighted the major achievements of the NDLEA in 2023.
