Concerned Nigerian activists have challenged the appointment of Hannatu Musawa as Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy in a suit filed at Abuja’s Federal High Court.
Alleging her status as a serving corps member and possible All Progressives Congress (APC) membership, the plaintiffs seek her disqualification.

Lawyer Samuel Ihensekhien Jnr, representing Deji Adeyanju and Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor, cited legal precedents and Constitutional qualifications.

The case raised questions about Musawa’s eligibility for the ministerial role. The suit demanded multiple reliefs and consequential injunctions while awaiting a hearing date.
