President Bola Tinubu has initiated the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund to drive comprehensive infrastructure development across Nigeria. Approved by the President, this fund aims to bolster growth and innovation in pivotal sectors such as agriculture, transportation, ports, aviation, energy, healthcare, and education.
The Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund is set to invest in critical national projects to promote economic advancement, enhance local value-addition, create job opportunities, and stimulate technological innovation and exports.
With objectives focused on establishing an innovative infrastructure investment vehicle, executing strategic national projects, and efficiently utilizing accessible low-interest loans, the Fund aims to ensure optimal outcomes for the nation’s long-term development.
Key projects under consideration include the development of robust agricultural infrastructure networks, revitalization of port facilities, modernization of major airports, and expansion of road and rail networks across the country.
President Tinubu has directed that the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund be absorbed into the new RHIDF to eliminate bureaucratic inefficiencies and expedite project delivery timelines. Additionally, he emphasizes equitable national spread of projects to ensure every Nigerian benefits from his administration’s initiatives.
