Renowned media entrepreneur and founder of DAAR Communications and African Independent Television (AIT), Raymond Dokpesi, has passed away. The sad news was confirmed by his son, Raymond Dokpesi Jr., in an official statement on Monday, May 29, 2023.

In his statement, Dokpesi Jr. expressed the profound loss felt by the family and those who knew his father. He described Raymond Dokpesi Sr. as a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, emphasizing that his memory would be deeply cherished.
