After two years of space in beauty contests; fast-rising strong-willed model, Actor, Tv Host, and Beautician; Eje Inayi Favour has announced her entry in the 2022 Miss Ivory Contest, and her fans and the entire beauty world are upbeat about her return.
The very assiduous, focused and result-oriented Queen Eje has within a short while after winning the maiden edition of Face Igede Nigeria sought more avenues to express her desire to promote natural beauty and the true essence of womanhood in addition to charity, peace, socio-cultural integration, youth empowerment, tourism, investment, and sustainable development in Nigeria.
In an exclusive media chat with The World Satellite, the undergraduate of History and Diplomatic Studies at Benue State University revealed this: “I decided to use Miss Ivory Contest to do a come back to pageantries for obvious reasons. Miss Ivory Contest is an initiative aimed at promoting and encouraging natural beauty amongst Nigerian women.
“Since its inception in 2021 as a trademark of Ivory Beauty Soap; a brand of Givanas Industry Nigeria Limited (GINL) and one of Nigeria’s best-selling complexion care soaps, the contest, which is open to every interested female has been positioned to showcase and reward the natural beauty of women.
“I love exploring platforms about rediscovering the inner essence, beauty, divine nature and allowing the inner light to shine through, authentically and free. So, I entered the contest to visually express the feelings and emotions we sometimes experience when we hold ourselves back through self-doubt, fear, or feeling unworthy of our higher selves and callings in life. I want to explore the feeling of becoming and unfolding naturally.”
Acknowledging the fact that the Miss Ivory Contest is not just about the funfair of crowning beauty queens, the creative and versatile Favour hopes to use the platform, if crowned, participate effectively to resonate and speak about Ivory Beauty Soap in a beautiful and meaningful way, unfolding an authentic expression, self-love and beautiful essence shining through for the world to see.
While talking about her strength and strategies going into the contest, which entries is billed to end on Sunday, September 18, 2022, the courageous Miss Eje stated that she does not see herself as a contestant but rather as a queen already based on the quality of her entry, which depicts the desire to improve the functionality and redefining the essence of natural beauty.
Looking at the Beauty and Entertainment industry as a whole, the Benue State-born beauty queen who has modelled for Zaron Cosmetics, tutored and managed quite several runways and pageantries, and featured in several movies such as Forever, Dr Abel Tv series, Book of kings, Yamashe, and currently hosting a Tv Programme tagged: “Benue Cruise” on NTA Network Centre Makurdi recounted that her journey into the Modeling Industry has not been an easy one, but the passion for it has been her strength.
“Breaking into the Beauty and Entertainment industry is always a hard one as there are thousands of girls who want to be models and actors. The challenges are many and overcoming them is not easy. At some point I almost gave up but I looked back at where I started from and knowing that I have not gotten to my peak yet, I persevered and here I am”, she explained.
A hardworking, innovative, and strong team player, before becoming the first ever Face of Igede Nigeria, Miss Eje Inayi Favour was Miss Humanities Department at Queen of the Rosary Secondary School, where she rose to be the face of the school in 2016. At that time, she represented the School in Runways, essay writings, and drama in the All-Secondary Schools Arts and Culture Competition Benue State.
