Tracy Doo Gwaza may not be among the popular faces seen on television yet, but the hybrid cluster of talent and hard work has distinguished herself as a force to reckon with in the Benue state chapter of the Nigerian Movie Industry.
Born Tracy Dooyum Gwaza to the family of late Mr. Gwaza David Utee and Mrs. Mchivir Dorcas Utee of Mbaajir, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue state, the dark skin graduate of Benue State University is an actress, makeup artist, make-effect.
Perhaps, nothing prepared Tracy for a career in the movie industry more than life itself. She had surgery to remove appendectomy, which developed complications and led to 18 months in a hospital bed.
After that near-death experience, she had an opportunity to present a drama with her Church youth group wherein the lead role was a very sick and dying lady. It fitted perfectly with her story and she accepted to play the role.

After playing the role to perfection, she was congratulated by the congregants and many advised her to take up acting as a full-time career; this marked the beginning of her journey. While she hopes to catch a big break in mainstream Nollywood, Tracy has starred in several featured movies alongside notable industry professionals.
A hardworking, innovative and strong team player, Tracy runs her own production company; La8 Night Pictures through which she produced ‘Butchered’, co-produced ‘Closed Book’ and currently working on post-production for ‘Autonomy’.
In recognition of her exceptional performances, the creative Tracy Doo Gwaza has received numerous awards and recognitions including being voted as one of the top three Benue Entertainers in 2021.
Not relenting in pursuing her career, Miss Gwaza currently works with 2et media in Abuja. She is a member of the committee for the 2022 World Tourism Day (WTD) at the national level in Abuja.

More so, she is one of the crew members for the upcoming reality TV show titled ‘UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY’, which has been added as one of the activities for the Calabar state carnival.
Seeing her greatest strength in God, determination to win, and stature, Miss Tracy, aspires to become a sensation with several accomplishments in Nigeria and beyond.
Beyond acting, she has found a passion in protecting and preserving the dignity of the less privileged and has initiated and partnered on several projects geared towards empowerment and capacity development.
Off production, she loves traveling and watching movies, in addition to sports such as volleyball, handball, and table tennis, in which she represented the kebbi state at the interstate competition in 2002.

Given her passion and determination, those who argue that there is a future for the Nigeria Film Industry can and indeed proudly point at Tracy Doo Gwaza as a perfect example of a person who is breaking free from imposed and self-imposed blockades that usually drag behind most youths from achieving their dream.
